Dr. David E. Moore, Jr.
Pastor David E. Moore, Jr. was raised in Chocowinity, NC. He is married to Elder Serisa Moore, who serves faithfully beside him in ministry. To their union was born two children, Davon and Shakira, and one precious granddaughter, Shaniya.
Pastor Moore is a God-fearing man who is full of purpose. He leads with an ultra-bright light that vibrantly displays the Christ within him. Since the tender age of 9, Pastor Moore has been proclaiming God's Word to a lost and dying world. He spreads the message of compassion that although God is one who should be feared, God is also the supreme creator that loves and cares for all of His children.
Pastor Moore’s first pastoral assignment was with the members of St. Anna Missionary Baptist Church in Blounts Creek, NC from 2001-2013. During his tenure, St. Anna grew physically through the substantial increase in church membership and spiritually through the lives that were saved, delivered, and set free. He engaged in several projects such as remodeling the church pulpit and implementing the media ministry.
In 2008, Pastor Moore embarked on an endeavor that many found unusual. With the direction of God, he organized and founded Divine Anointing Church International in Greenville, NC. DACI (as it is faithfully called) has been able to develop into a holistic ministry by offering outreach assistance that focuses on feeding the hungry, clothing those in need, and providing resources to the homeless. DACI is currently working to fulfill its mission of "…turning the world upside down and being God centered."
Pastor Moore believes in seeking wisdom and knowledge in order to equip the people properly with God’s Word. He graduated with honors in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Philosophy from Shaw University of Raleigh, NC. While attending college, his grades earned him an induction into the Alpha Chi Honor Society where he later served two terms as SGA President. Pastor Moore furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Divinity degree from the same university in 2015. Most recently in 2021, he was awarded the Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Roanoke Theological Seminary of North Carolina.
God allowed Pastor Moore to expand his flock beyond the Pitt County lines in December 2015 when he was installed as Pastor of Indian Woods Missionary Baptist Church of Windsor, NC. Under his leadership several ministries within the church have been reactivated and several Christian Educational workshops have been formed. These include Saturday Bible Studies to accommodate senior citizens in the community, a Men’s Mentoring Ministry, and speaking engagements at the General Baptist State Convention.
Dr. Moore has a heart for working in the church and community. In 2021, he was elected Moderator of the West Roanoke Missionary Baptist Association. He also holds a position on the Executive Board and as the Moderator of Moderators for the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Most recently in January 2022, God opened the doors for Dr. Moore to share his knowledge of the Word as an instructor with the Roanoke Theological Seminary School.
Although he has a heart to teach and preach the Word, God has also gifted Dr. Moore with an angelic voice. As a result of much prayer and guidance from God, Dr. Moore recently stepped out on faith and embarked upon his music career. In October 2021, Dr. Moore signed with Nubaz Entertainment, LLC as the group “David Moore, Jr & Focused”. He released his first album, “I Survived”, on December 23, 2021. The album is a riveting, spirit filled compilation of songs designed to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring hope to all those who listen. His second album, "It's All About Him" was released on April 8, 2023, followed by the single "Keeps on Blessing Me" in November 2023.
